Motorbike rental terms and responsibilities

These points cover documents, payment conditions, safety, damage responsibilities and approved travel outside Bali.

Most bookings require no deposit or advance payment.
Payment is made when the motorbike is delivered.
Bookings of three or more motorbikes require a 30% down payment.
During high season, additional information or an early deposit may be requested.

Ride safely and always wear a helmet, even for short trips.
Do not drink and drive.
If anyone else drives the bike, or if the bike is subleased, the rental can be voided and repossessed without refund.

You are responsible for repairs after a crash, drop or other damage.
Repairs must be handled by a Yamaha dealership. Damaged bikes returned are charged by Yamaha catalog prices plus IDR 500,000 for lost bike usage.
For theft or accident damage above 70% of the bike value, TLO insurance has a deductible: Xmax IDR 5,500,000, Nmax ABS/Turbo IDR 2,000,000, Lexi IDR 2,000,000.
All keys must be provided in a theft case. If not, the full bike value can be charged.
Traffic fines, camera fines and third-party damages during the rental period are the renter's responsibility.

A lost or stolen key is charged at IDR 1,000,000 plus lost usage days if applicable.
A lost helmet is charged at IDR 300,000.
Refunds are not provided. If there is an issue with the bike, DC Rental Bali will do its best to fix or exchange it.

Travel outside Bali is only allowed with prior approval from DC Rental Bali.
Approved trips to Lombok, Gili Islands or Java have an extra fee of IDR 700,000.
Original documents are provided for approved trips. Unauthorized travel outside Bali voids the rental.
