Ready-to-use app

YouTube Comment Extractor

Skip digging through Studio tabs. This extractor ingests live comments, paginates 10 at a time, and lets teams scan “Most engaged” or “Newest” replies without touching spreadsheets.

Start using it: paste any public YouTube URL or video ID, tap “Fetch comments,” and explore up to 100 reactions instantly.

Ideal for: creators, CX teams, and researchers who need fast qualitative signal without digging through dashboards.

How it works

  1. Grab a YouTube URL or video ID.
  2. Paste it into the extractor and click “Fetch comments”.
  3. Use sorting + pagination controls to explore the conversation.

Live comment ingestion

Paste a YouTube URL and pull top-level comments in seconds with pagination baked in.

Research-ready controls

Page through 10 comments at a time, switch between relevance and latest sorting, and stay within quota budgets.

Next.js 15 + Tailwind 4

Client component handles parsing, pagination state, and UI polish while the server route stays lean.

Bring your own API key

Paste your YouTube Data API key at runtime (link to Google Cloud Console) and keep it in-session.

Live application

Paste a link. Fetch the conversation.

The extractor below pulls 10 comments per request, tracks your browsing history, and lets you flip between “Most engaged” and “Newest” sorting while you scroll.

Create a key

The key stays in your browser session and is sent only with these requests.

Sort by
Paste a YouTube URL above to load the first 10 comments. Sorting defaults to “Most engaged”.

Tip: works best with public videos. You get three extractions per IP each day—browse up to 100 comments (10 per page), export any page to csv, and keep iterating from there.

How to use it

  1. Grab any public YouTube URL or the 11-character video ID.
  2. Paste it into the extractor, choose a sort order, and click “Fetch comments”.
  3. Navigate with Previous/Next—up to 10 pages for a 100-comment snapshot.
  4. Press “Export to csv” to download the current page as CSV and drop it straight into Sheets.

Workflow ideas

  • ↳ Tag comments in Sheets (“bug”, “praise”, “feature request”) for faster triage.
  • ↳ Create a running Airtable or Notion view by appending each CSV export.
  • ↳ Drop the component into your CX or ops dashboard to keep everyone in sync.
  • ↳ Extend the server route when you’re ready to automate more than 100 comments.
